#14 JESUS SPEAKS
ONE BEING WISE
Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man. Matthew 7:24
ON MY COMING
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. John 8:42
I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 9:13
ON SIN
The Son of Man (the name Jesus uses when speaking of Himself) has authority on earth to forgive sins. Luke 5:24
I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10
ON MY DEATH AND RESURRECTION
The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28
The Son of Man must suffer many things …and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Luke 9:22
ON MY ASCENSION INTO HEAVEN
I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me. John 7:33
ON BELIEVING
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
ON OBEDIENCE
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7; 21
ON PRIORITIES
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. Mark 8: 34, 35
ON MY SECOND COMING
For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matthew 16:27
ON MY CARE FOR YOU

ON REJECTION
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48
ON COMING TO ME
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
